Meexo cares about your privacy. This privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) describes the information we collect about you (“you” and its variants refers to you the user of this service; the terms “Meexo”, “us”, “we” and “our” refer to Meexo, Inc., a Delaware corporation) and how that information may be collected, used or shared. This Privacy Policy applies to the Meexo Site, the Meexo mobile Application and the Meexo Services (as such terms are described in fuller detail in Meexo’s Terms of Service available at http://www.meexo.com/tos.html (or such other URL or location as Meexo may provide from time to time), as such agreement may be reviewed and revised by Meexo in accordance with the terms thereof (the “Terms of Service”)).

Information about you...And how we use it

In general, we may collect personal information that can identify you such as (but not limited to) your name, email address and social network identifier. We may also collect other information that does not directly identify you. When you provide personal information, the information may be sent to servers located in the United States and/or other countries or locations around the world.

Information you provide: We may collect and store any information you enter on our Application or Site or provide to us in some other manner. This includes identifying information, such as your name, address, email address, and telephone number, and, if you transact business with us, financial information such as your payment method (valid credit card number, type, expiration date, or other financial information). If you purchase our in-Application services through Apple Inc. (including the iTunes Store, the App Store, or the Mac App Store), you are subject to the terms and agreement and privacy policy of Apple Inc.

Information you provide: We may also request information about your interests and activities, your sex/gender and age, and other demographic information such as your hometown or your username, as well as other information including information that may be considered to be sensitive.

Information about others: We may collect and store personal information about other people that you reveal to us--including but not limited to their name, address, email address, interests and activities, and sex/gender and age.

Information collected automatically: We automatically collect information from your iPhone when you download the Application. This information includes your Device ID (UDID), carrier user ID, your language, and Application access times. We may also collect information from your iPhone, including but not limited to information in your iPhone’s and iTunes’ Music Library, your location, and location and other information from affiliate applications. When you visit the Site or use the Services, Meexo may send one or more cookies to your computer or other device. Cookies are small text files that web serves typically send to users’ computers or other devices when they visit a site, and can be accessed by servers when the user returns to a site or goes to another site. Cookies are used to collect and send information about a user’s site visits and cannot be used to personally identify a user. Users who prefer not to accept cookies can set their Internet browser or device settings to notify them when they receive a cookie or to prevent cookies from being placed on their hard drive.

How We Use the Information We Collect:
In general and without limitation, we may use information that we collect about you to:

.deliver the products and Services that you have requested;
.manage your account and provide you with customer support;
.perform research and analysis about your use of, or interest in, our products, Services, or content, or products, services or content offered by others;
.communicate with you by email, postal mail, telephone and/or mobile devices about products or services that may be of interest to you either from us or other third parties;
.develop and display content and advertising tailored to your interests;
.enforce or exercise any rights in our Terms of Service;
.manage, operate and improve our business, including the Site, Application and Services; and/or
.perform functions as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.

We reserve the right to disclose information that we collect about you as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us or our affiliates.

Sharing of Personal Information Collected

Meexo does not share your information except as approved by you or as described below:

.with your consent, for example, when you agree to our sharing your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes subject to their separate privacy policies;
.we may engage other companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf. Examples of these services include sending postal mail and e-mail to you and analyzing data. While these agents and service providers may have access to your information in connection with the performance of services for us, they may not use such information for any purpose other than providing such services to us;
.we release account and other personal information when we believe that release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Terms of Service; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Meexo, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction; and
.we may share your personal information in connection with any merger, sale of our assets, or a financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another entity.

Security of Information Collected

Meexo takes reasonable measures to protect your personal information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, except for the intended purpose of the Services. Data we consider sensitive such as login details, conversation messages and profile descriptions will be sent over the network in an encrypted format (https) whenever possible, and passwords will be stored encrypted on our own or our partner’s server. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information that we receive, including without limitation with respect to vulnerabilities to hacker intrusion and other malicious code.

Email and Push Notification Policy
By default, we will send you periodic updates of various Application information, a variety of transactional emails and push notifications such as when users send you a message and, from time to time, Application or other announcements.

You have full control regarding which of these emails you want to receive. To change your options, simply adjust your preferences within the Application.

Reverse Social Graph

Meexo gives you the option via a "Reverse Social Graph" to be invisible to your direct connections on social networks. If you chose to opt in, your direct connections on these social networks will not be able to discover or access your profile, and you will not be able to discover or access their profiles. The accuracy of the "Reverse Social Graph" depends on the accuracy of the data provided to us by the relevant social networks.

Inviting Friends or Others
Inviting friends or other people to Meexo is optional. When you choose to invite people, we will send an email or other type of message to the addresses or other contact information you enter indicating that it is a message from you. We will share your name and email address with anyone you invite so that they know who the invitation is coming from. If a someone you invite does not respond to the initial invitation in accordance with its terms after a certain period of time, we may send one or more reminder messages on your behalf. Your friends and other people you invite may contact us to request that we remove their information from our database.

For your convenience, Meexo offers the ability to import email addresses from the address book on your mobile phone or other mobile device or email services as well as to access your list of friends on social services such as (but not limited to) Facebook. Should you choose to use this feature, we will access your address book or list of friends using the login details that you provide. We do not store your password on such social services nor do we use them for any other purpose than to retrieve your contacts. We will not send invitations to contacts you do not leave preselected or explicitly select, and your invitations and reminder messages are the only emails we will ever send to your friends unless they register to join the Application.

Accessing, Reviewing, and Changing Your Profile
After registration you can review and change the information you submitted during registration.

Upon your request we will remove your membership data from our active databases as soon as reasonably possible in accordance with our policy and applicable law. We may retain in our files information you have requested be removed from our active databases for certain purposes, such as to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce the Terms of Service. Moreover, such information may never be completely removed from our databases due to technical and legal constraints, including stored ‘back up' systems. You should not expect that all of your information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your request, but this information will not be publicly accessible (subject to the section above entitled “Security of Information Collected”).

Control of Your Password
You are responsible for all actions taken with your login information and password, including any fees or charges incurred based on such use and all actions taken if you choose to share this information with a third party. If you believe that your password has been disclosed to third parties or otherwise compromised in any way, you should immediately change your password.

Third Party Use of Information
This Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. If you disclose your information to other parties, whether via the service or on other sites or applications throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. We do not control the privacy policies of any third parties so you should investigate their policies before you disclose your information to them.

Children’s Privacy
We restrict the use of our Services to be only for individuals 18 years of age and above. The Application, Site and Services are not intended for persons under 18 years of age and are not developed or directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly solicit or collect any information from persons under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly market our Application, Site or Services to persons under 18 years of age.

Your California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of the Site or Application who are California residents to request certain information regarding Meexo’s disclosure of personal information to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes.

Changes in Our Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to review, revise and update this Privacy Policy at any time, including without limitation in consultation with third parties and upon changes in relevant laws or interpretations. Any such revisions will be effective on the date of posting to the Site or Application, and will apply to all information collected by us both prior to and following the effective date. Your use of the service following any such revisions will be deemed your acceptance of such revisions. You should periodically visit this page to review the current policies with regard to information, as we may or may not otherwise notify users or visitors of any changes to such policies.
